As humans, naturally we have a deep desire to feel safe. Whether that be in a relationship, financially, in our home or in the world in general. A lot of our human fears revolve around the fear of loss of someone or something, fear of not having enough, to be left behind. Considering the state in which the world is in at this moment, it is very easy and understandable to get lost in such fears.
We pay for insurance for many different things and want to be prepared for all kinds of scenarios. Basically, there is nothing wrong with that, but how far do we take it all? How many insurances do we really need? Are we constantly busy with thoughts about how things could go wrong? How often do you have the thought: what if it all works out?
The world has come to a point, where the old is falling apart and a new earth is ready to be brought to life. The world is in turmoil, everything is being turned upside down, the new energy is bringing everything into the light, many of the things that have been kept from our eyes to see. But things are changing rapidly and “the dark” can no longer hide. The old is no longer and the new is not very visible yet, at least for our human eyes. As humans we are constantly confronted with the unknown. We never really know what will happen next. Our mind loves playing tricks on us, imagining everything that could possibly go wrong. Our human life is so fragile, and it can leave us feeling overwhelmed, lonely, anxious, or confused.
So, what to do?
What I can say from my own experience, is that it is up to every one of us, to find out who we really are at the core of our being and how to find and access that inner peace and stability, independent of any situation we might find ourselves in. I am aware of the fact that there are situations some people are confronted with, that turn you inside out and challenge you to the utmost. And yet, deep within, we are always connected to that core of our being, our true essence, far greater and more radiant than we can imagine. Going deep within and making peace with the unknown, trusting in your soul’s guidance and wisdom, still is the road less travelled, but definitely worth taking.
When the world gets too loud, too fast, too overwhelming, do you turn to comfort-food, TV, or other distractions, or do you take the time to go within and become still? The world will know peace when enough people have found their own inner peace. The state of the world is always a reflection of the level of consciousness of the collective consciousness of humanity. So if you want to do something for the world and humanity and don’t know where to start, or you believe there’s nothing you can do, do this: get to know yourself, be kind to yourself, peel away the layers of social conditioning, heal the parts of yourself that still need healing, get help to do so if you need it, find your stillness, dwell in it, make it your best friend, make peace with yourself. By doing this you change the world.
We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Of course, our life feels completely real to us, we experience our emotions and feelings and everything that happens to us intensely. And yet, from the perspective of our eternal soul, a lifetime passes in the blink of an eye. It is one experience of many, on this earth, other planets, and universes. And even if that is hard to comprehend with our linear thinking human minds, to me it is a great relief to know and feel that, as important as this experience of being human is to our soul’s growth and evolvement, we are so much more. So, the challenge is to be completely grounded here on earth, we chose to incarnate here on this planet, and at the same time be deeply connected to source and to explore the eternal realms with our soul. To be in this world but not of it. And the more we connect to that eternal part of ourselves, the more we explore our inner worlds, the better we are able to deal with all the anxiety, fear and frustration that the unknown might trigger in us.
It is up to us to find that deep trust in our innate wisdom again. It is up to every one of us to stop running from ourselves. Tune in to your guidance. Your heart always knows. Become ok with not knowing all the answers. Become ok with not knowing what the tenth step is, become ok with knowing the first step. To feel safe in the unknown, it is essential to become fully present. Our human mind is mostly in the past or the future. We think about what we should’ve done differently and how things will be better, once we’ve done this, accomplished that and so on. But by doing this, we miss our lives. Find your stability in the presence of now. This moment is all you’ll ever have. Make sure you experience it with all your senses.
Alan Watts, author of the magnificent book Wisdom of Insecurity, said: “By replacing fear of the unknown with curiosity, we open ourselves up to an infinite stream of possibility. We can let fear rule our lives or we can become childlike with curiosity, pushing our boundaries, leaping out of our comfort zones, and accepting what life puts before us.”
We live in a quantum universe, in which the possibilities are endless. We have far greater power to create our life than we can imagine. Become excited about everything that is possible. Allow your visions and dreams to be grand. And then release them to the field of eternal wisdom, to source, and follow your inner guidance on your path of becoming. When we let go of the need to know all the answers, to always know what’s going to happen next, we are free. Trust that, when you truly listen to your soul, you will always receive the information that is needed in this moment. The unknown can be your enemy or your greatest friend and teacher. The choice is yours.
